Look at the date! Epic Failure...
Wow...I have officially failed at updating the blog. I'm sure I could come up with tons of reasons why I'm never around my computer, but I wont bore you. Instead, let's get to the good stuff. Ben finished up his FTU training and became fully mission qualified in the Buff way back before Christmas. We had a chance to take a little tour and Aubrey got to sit in daddy's "Co" seat. She loved playing with all the buttons!
"Wow daddy....what does THIS one do?"
Ben's FTU Class on top of the Buff. The thing in the bottom of the picture is one of the huge jet engines. Sure puts the size of the jet into perspective huh?
We made the decision not to put locks on all the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen when we moved in. Aubrey is really good about knowing what she can play with and what she can't. Right now, she's busy "cooping".
I was busy busy busy trying to get Christmas Cookies made for different functions, including for when my family came down. Ben thought my multi-tasking of baking and talking on the phone was priceless.
All smiles! Aubrey LOVES the camera!!! It is getting really hard to get a picture of her because she wants to see it before you're done taking it! Sadie and Winnie could care less.
Christmas Eve is finally here!!! All dressed up for church!
Aubrey "smiling" with Uncle Jonah.
Nana and Papa with Aubrey in her new jammies! We were getting ready to open up all those presents.
Lounging with Uncle Jonah and watching TV. "Ummmm...a pillow would be great Jonah."
Aubrey got this house for Christmas and she thinks it's the coolest thing. The doorbell rings, the phone rings, the washer makes noise, and the toilet flushes. She loves putting the mommy and daddy to bed and rocking the baby in the bassinet. Oh, and every time she rings the doorbell you hear a tiny "hello" coming from her.
Now we jump to the middle of January. We decided to undertake the project of potty training! We rolled up the rug (thank goodness for concrete f
loors) and had slumber parties in the living room during the day. All the diapers in the house are gone and we had great success after just two and a half days!
Well, there it is. I have some videos I'll post when they finally upload. Enjoy!

November Fun
Looking back at some of my old posts I realize how much Aubrey has grown up since her first birthday! She loves cookies (and asks for them by name), eats yogurt and applesauce all by herself (and stays relatively clean), and loves dressing up in mommy's stuff.
Mmmmm.....Mommy makes the best chocolate chip cookies!
Halloween 2010
Happy Halloween!!! I know this is late, but better late than never right? This year Aubrey was an adorable cow for Halloween. She got a kick out of her pumpkin basket to carry around! We got ready and went over to some friends of ours to trick or treat with them and their little boy. We got there a little early and had some time to play in the backyard before we went out on our candy hunt.
We finally got her costume on and she pranced around the house with her basket while we finished getting everything ready.
Family Picture :)
Unlike WI it doesn't get too cold down here so we have to figure out a costume that isn't too warm instead of finding one to put over a snowsuit. :)

Pumpkin Patch
Today seemed like the perfect day to head out to the "local" pumpkin patch. It was only a high of 88 degrees and sunny. A beautiful fall day by Louisiana standards. This particular patch has different barnyard things for the kids to do along with a corn maze. We went with the intention to just ride the tractor out to the pumpkin patch, pick our pumpkins, and head home, but Aubrey had different thoughts.
We started out with the typical waiting in line for our tickets. Ben took Aubrey over by the music speakers to dance for awhile while I waited in line. After we got our tickets we headed over to the scarecrow cut-out for pictures and then off to the corn maze. I'm so glad we brought Aubrey's "leash". It gave her the chance to lead us for once. We just let her lead the way, and eventually we found our way out! Aubrey loved watching the kids do the barn swing, but I think she was still a little too small to do it on her own. We watched people have duck races using tubes cut in half and hand water pumps to push the ducks. She loved that. Before we knew it, it was our turn to ride the tractor ride out to the pumpkins. Once again...she had a blast. After we got our pumpkins it was time to head out and get some lunch. We are all tired from our long morning outside. Ben and Aubrey are napping and I figured I better put the pictures up before I lay down, or it might never get done.
Oh...the corn maze we did was cut out in the shape of the Vex-Con logo from the TV show "Billy the Exterminator". He lives and works right here in Bossier City. Next time you see his show think of us!

Aubrey's Update
I looked back and realized how much Aubrey has grown since the last time I posted. Here are a few pictures ranging from the 4th of July to two weeks ago.
Tim and Becky came over for the 4th of July and we gave Aubrey her first ear of corn. It was adorable! She ate all the corn off of it.
I asked Aubrey to smile for the camera, but instead she walked up to it and tried to take it away from me. I guess she still smiled though!
The dogs have not been allowed on the furniture since we moved into the new house. It's easier for everyone to not have to fight for a seat on the couch. Apparently they didn't get the memo and thought they could be on the couch when I wasn't around. Boy, were they wrong.
We took Aubrey to the local Gators and Friends. They have some other animals there, and Aubrey loved the camel!
My parents came down to visit. We put my dad to work painting, but he had some down time to share popcorn with Aubrey.
Aubrey has taken to eating her breakfast in the recliner. She is such a clean eater! This is really nice for mommy when she doesn't feel good in the mornings.
Aubrey is walking and talking. She just cut a few molars and is working on more. My baby girl isn't a baby anymore. She is a toddler!
