Growing Girl

Aubrey is growing more and more each day. There are so many things going on in our lives right now it is sometimes hard to keep up. Ben has his Assignment night coming up two weeks from Friday. This is where he is going to find out where we are going next and what kind of plane he will be flying. We are so excited to find out where the Air Force will take us next. Right now anything is could happen and we won't have any idea until the 5:00 on the 21.

Ben is working hard, but comes home and always wants to spend time with his little girl. He was so impressed when she sat in her chair that he had to take a few pictures. This is the best one we got.

Daddy and Aubrey

Aubrey is so animated these days and loves to play to her toys. Her laughs and smiles are priceless.

Here's her little smirk. I think she is going to be a mischievous little girl.

Aubrey always has her bunny-bear with her. She likes to chew on the ears, but struggles getting them in her mouth. She grabs the whole thing and tries to shove the whole thing in her mouth.

Aubrey is already such a studious little girl. She loves reading the book Gail gave her! (I think she likes the crinkly noise it makes more than anything).

The Zoo...

No, I'm not talking about the zoo with the animals in cages...I'm talking about our house. I love having things going on and I couldn't imagine going back to the time when it was just Ben and I.

Here are a few pics of two out of our three girls. Sadie and Maggie know the rules about having to sit when they are on the furniture. They like to look out the windows and watch the guys next door renovating the house. Maggie can't figure out that they aren't coming into our house so she barks a lot at them.

Sadie and Maggie wear eachother out a lot during the day so they spend a lot of time sleeping. Maggie is still trying to figure out where she is allowed to sleep on the couch since Sadie has her space, but she still likes to snuggle.

Maggie looks guilty...she's learning that it's ok to be on the furniture.

Sadie is wiped out after playing all afternoon with Maggie. We thought of her as a puppy still, but she is starting to look like the old dog.

Maggie is so sweet. She is definitely a people dog and loves to be around us. She is constantly climbing on the couch and snuggling with either Ben or I and she loves to give Aubrey kisses. She's just one of those dogs that really wants to make her people happy.

Of course....as soon as I pulled out the video camera Sadie stopped her whining. You have to watch it for awhile before you see why I took the video. Maggie is chewing on the little bone that Sadie loves and instead of getting up and taking it from her she just sat there and complained. It went on for about 20 min. Finally Sadie realized that the bigger bone was just as good and started chewing on that one.

Aubrey's Sassy Jumper

Here's a few pictures we took last week of Aubrey. I can't believe how much she is growing. She is really starting to smile more and more. Trying to catch her with a smile is hard, but these two are pretty good.

Sadie and Aubrey love to spend time together. They usually hang out on mom and dad's bed while I'm getting ready in the morning.

We tried out Aubrey's Sassy Jumper the other day. She is still a little small for it (we had to put some blankets around her), but she was ok in it for a few minutes.

Here is a short video of Aubrey in her jumper. She is better at twisting than jumping, but she'll get it eventually.

What have we gotten ourselves into...

Becky came to visit this weekend. We had a blast. We went shopping and found this adorable dress that Becky bought Aubrey to wear for Ben's graduation. It's a little big, but I think in 6 weeks it will be perfect!

Aubrey was sitting on the table and couldn't stop staring at her feet. She finally looked up a little when she heard daddy's voice.

Here is the fishy dress Scott bought her. It is so cute! She wore it all day today (so far).

Here is our new news. We have a new family member!! We just adopted a sweet 8 month old boxer named Maggie. Her and Sadie have so much fun together. Sometimes I wonder what we're getting ourselves into, but you only live once!

They finally calmed down enough to sit and get their picture taken...kind of...

Ben's T-38 Cross Country

Ben just got back last night from his four day cross country. He went to Dallas/Fort Worth and had a blast. Most of the flights he did were night flights. This first picture is of him with his jet.

Here is Ben with his IP, Col. Benyshek.

Ben doesn't seem to be taking the "stern talking to" seriously.

I don't know if this is taking off or landing, but my guess is this is the final flare before he lands. In this picture Ben is in the back seat under the "hood" since he is doing an instrument flight. His IP is in the front.

Like I said, Ben was mostly doing night flights so this is right before he taxied off for one of them.

Aubrey's Favorite Dress

Here's a "new" family picture of us. It was hard to get Aubrey to look the right direction. This was the best we could do. :)

Mommy and Aubrey were napping, and Daddy caught us as I was waking up. She is so beautiful I can't help but stare.

I had been waiting for Aubrey to be big enough to wear this dress, but when I tried it on her it was almost too small! My goal is for her to wear each outfit at least once. Wish me luck!

Aubrey's Shopping Trip and more...

Even though Aubrey has plenty of clothes to get her through the months ahead, Ben and I decided to take her on a little shopping trip and pick out a few things ourselves. We had so much fun looking through the outfits! Ben came with to help keep me from going overboard. There's just something about buying things for your little girl that makes it easy to lose track of what you are spending. We got her quite a few things and I took a few pictures of her in my favorite outfit. She has little jean shorts and flowered babydoll top. I think she looks adorable. She also got new "duckie" pjs.

Daddy loves her "duckies". He was studying, but he got a little distracted being a dad.

The next morning Aubrey decided she wanted to come snuggle with mom and dad. We had the whole family in bed with us...even Sadie joined us. It doesn't happen very often, but every now and then she will take her morning nap with mom.

Being in sunny Mississippi we thought she would need a hat. We were just getting ready to go bowling and we couldn't pass up the photo op.

We have some modified tummy time. She doesn't like to be on her tummy for too long, but she doesn't mind being propped up on her boppy.

"Whew...it takes a lot of effort to hold my head up..."

She is learning to love her baths more and more. She especially loves the big girl towel she got from Great-Great Aunt Judy.

She must be dreaming of something good.

Aubrey loves to stick her tongue out and lick her lips. She's pretty impressed with herself.

Sadie loves to be near Aubrey and takes every opportunity she can to give her kisses.
